Lush Legends Gift

December Ins and Outs

IN

Passing my driving test - oh yes, third time lucky! I've had my car since september and since I passed on thursday I've been out every day. Although my bank balance is now taking a battering from petrol as well as shopping!

Mulled Wine - mmmmm! My favourite is Marks and Spencer. I'm far too lazy to make my own and why would I when I can buy it this good!

Lush - as I've said before, I can't get enough at the moment and I love all the festive products they have instore at the moment.

Glade Scented Candles - I've got a mulled wine one and a spiced apple one and they're making my house smell so Christmassy! Might stock up so I can use them in January.. keep that festive feeling for longer!

OUT

Snow - Usually, love it. But now I can drive I don't want icy and snowy roads! Plus I missed out on the Soap and Glory offer at Boots yesterday because of it! Grrrr!!!

The end of the X Factor - Although I didn't think any of the final 12 had the 'X Factor' I have no idea what I'm going to do with my saturday and sunday nights now! Perhaps I'll have to get a social life.. haha.

Road Rage - I've got it, bad. It's alright when I'm in the car by myself, I tend to find myself funny but with my mother in she has a right go at me and it just makes me rage more!

Love to see what your current ins and outs are! TTYL xxxx

Anatomicals Mud Mask Review

Anatomicals 'Farewell the Scarlet Pimplehell' Mud Mask

I've wanted to try Anatomicals products for a while now, keep umming and ahhing over various products on the website (found here) and was never sure what products I wanted to try more. And although I'm sure there are reviews out there, I've never come across any or possibly haven't looked hard enough! Whilst browsing TK Maxx I came across a set of two products and one of them was this one, for £4.99. I'll do a seperate review on the other item at a later date.

I used this on damp skin and didn't use any other products after using this so that I could give a proper review of what just this product does.

'Fetching' photo of me with no make up, dressing gown on and mud mask..
Go on, laugh, I know you want to ;)

So the smell of this isn't great but what do you expect from a mud mask really.. was suprised that it's green, expected a brown colour (to reflect mud..) and the fomulation is a bit thin, i found some areas the mask just slid off which was a little annoying. You can probably see the patchiness in the photo. It wasn't as messy as I anticipated and my skin was left feeling soft and my skin wasn't oily at all in the morning as it normally would be.

Overall, I wouldn't say I really enjoyed using this product, I would've liked a fresher feeling afterwards and a better formulation. I will probably use it again but I very much doubt I will repurchase.

Another Lush Haul coming soon.. TTYL xxxx

Festive Products.. and a nail polish

I'm obsessed with Lush at the moment. I mean, obsessed. But instead of taking photos before using the products, I end up using them straight away! I just can't resist. I've always been a fan of Lush but lately I've found myself wanting to try more and more products.

A couple of products I need to rave about from the Christmas Collection before they disappear for another year include Snow Fairy and a product I've already talked about, Mister Butterball. The picture shows Snow Fairy and in the bag, is half a Mister Butterball, told you I couldn't resist!

Snow Fairy has a lovely glitter shimmer to it and smells like candy floss and sweets. I'm not sure how that is particuarly festive but I love it all the same. Mister Butterball, well, I love this because I can split it in half. Might sound silly but the Butterball itself is impossibly hard to divide into two and I'm all for getting more product for my money! I wasn't sure about the oil film on top of my bath that this left to start with but its not a dirty oil, it's a moisturising oil. I love the feeling this product gives to my skin, like I've moisturised when I haven't. I can be quite lazy sometimes when it comes to moisturising so this is the perfect product for me.

I'm currently sporting Collection 2000's Hot Looks nail polish in 'Dynasty'. I've seen a lot of people on youtube wearing this nail polish so I had to pick it up for myself. At £1.79 it's seriously cheap as well as being fast drying (perfect for my lazy self..) thick and long lasting. I do use Barry M's 3 in 1 nail polish (the clear one as recommended by Lollipop26) as a base coat and a top coat and this does help stop premature chipping. I apologise for the short nails, I'm a secret nail biter (gross I know) but I find wearing nail polish stops me from biting.

What are your favourite Lush products and any nail polishes you can recommend? Love to hear about them! TTYL xxxx

MAC Haul #2 and other bits

So I've ordered a few bits and bobs from mac this week and taken a trip shopping, so thought I'd share what I've bought. Once again I apologise for poor lighting. I warn you this might be quite a long post!

Left - Right: Hue, Pervette, Pretty Please, Florabundance.

Swatches of the above in the same order.

Paint Pot in Bare Study and Blush in Well Dressed (this is much lighter, such bad lighting I'm sorry)

A couple of staples for my pro pallete - All That Glitters and Satin Taupe.

I'm awaiting the arrival of Strobe Cream and Perfectly Unordinary Dazzleglass as well.

I bought a few things on my shopping trip, figured I'd just show you the more 'beauty related' ones! I got a new cleanser from Boots, it was on offer at £2.99 - Organic Surge Cleanser for all skin types. I've used this for the last couple of days but finding it a bit drying - I'll keep you posted on what I think of this. I also picked up a Lush toner 'Breath of Fresh Air'.

Lush says - 'Softening toner to soothe and revitalize the skin. Breath of Fresh Air is one of our seaside products inspired by the Dorset beach coastline. You don't have to live by the sea to appreciate it, all you have to do is get up in the morning! Sea water is full of mineral salts. So are human beings. Perhaps this is why rehydrating and re-mineralizing your skin with sea and spring water feels so refreshing. Breath of Fresh Air makes your skin feel extra fresh and healthy because we add soothing aloe vera gel, rejuvenating rosemary and calming rose absolute. Use it after cleansing, or refresh yourself at any time of day.'

I have to say - I completely agree. I love love love this product. My skin feels refreshed and really wakes me up! I only got the 100g size to try it out but I will absolutely be repurchasing this. The lady in Lush recommended I spray this on and pat it into my skin with my fingertips so that's what I've been doing. It's wonderful on my combination skin.

I also picked up a Mister Butterball ballistic bath bomb which I was so excited to use when I got home I forgot to take a photo! It was wonderful though, the Christmas version of the normal Butterball and my skin felt so soft after using it when I usually find bath bombs quite drying.

I picked up this cute make up bag from Primark. I think it was £1.50 and so cute to pop my make up essentials in and pop into my handbag for everyday.

In other completely unrelated news, I'm loving the 30 Seconds to Mars - This is War album. In particular 'Night of the Hunter'. Love it! TTYL xxxx

RAVE - ELF (Eyes Lips Face)

So at this time of year I know a lot of us are feeling the pinch when it comes to money. I have always thoughtELF products are extremely good value I mean at £1.50 for most items you really can't go wrong right? Right. I'd never tried the make up brushes before but was really keen to so I ordered just two last week. I got the total face brush and the brushing, bronzing and blending brush.

First of all I have to comment on the delivery. I ordered these at around 4pm on friday afternoon and there they were in my brushes case on saturday morning. I didn't pay for next day delivery just standard. Amazed they arrived so quickly.

I haven't tried the total face brush but I will be applying my loose powder with this later today and have high hopes! The brushing, bronzing and blending brush in my opinion is a great alternative to the MAC 168 and at £1.50 it's surprising it's so good. I found this brush to be soft and applied my bronzer, blush and highlight perfectly. I will most certainly be using this product in my daily routine.

What are your opinions on ELF products? What do you recommend?

MAC Haul #1

This is the reason I wonder why I'm always skint. I just had to indulge in a new pro palette and obviously needed some new eyeshadows to pop in it! And then I had to make it up to £50 for the free shipping didn't I! Yes I realise I'm still justifying the spend to myself.

Very happy with my purchases. From left - right eyeshadows are Shroom, Brule, Honey Lust and Woodwinked. Blush is 'Style' - beautiful and it's very close to Benefit's Coralista which I have been eyeing up for a long time and cheaper! I apologise for the flash so the picture isn't as clear of the colours as I'd like it to be, its so dull out and the lighting is rubbish everywhere in the house today!

I realise this is probably quite a boring haul but I wanted to share the mac love! TTYL xxxx

Obligatory Introduction

Hello blogger world. My name is Hannah. I've had many a blog in the past and I've always ended up leaving it and moving on. Much the same as Daisy at Cupcakes and Cherries said in her introduction. I also plan on sticking with this one! So, heres to a fresh start with Antique Rose! I'm always trying out new beauty and hair products and this is my new little part of the web world to share with anyone who wants to read.

I'm 20 years old, currently live in Warwickshire, England but in the last 2-3 years I've lived in Leeds and in the Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire areas. I get itchy feet if I stay somewhere for too long! I don't plan on leaving here anytime soon but I never do!

So, please stick around and feel free to say hello as you pop past! TTYL xxxx
